I have not been fully participating on Africa Sustainable Energy for a long time, this is due to the unavailability of low-cost and efficient internet network connections, But i think that has eventually changed now and i will be very well online and add constructive comments as constant as possible.
Thanks for the good works you have been doing for Africa.

Hi Bas

I am pleased to have just joined as a Member of Sustainable Energy In Africa. I see Jatropha as part of the mix of energy solutions, both for rural communities in the parts of Africa that it flourishes, and for energy users seeking to minimise their reliance on non-food price distorting biofuels.

I co-founded Jatropha Africa to cultivate Jatropha and supply Jatropha derived products We operate a 100 hectare farm in Ghana, provide advice, and support small farmers, if they want to add Jatropha to the range of their crops.
All the best - Clive Coker

According to all of my readings on the subject Europe is unlikely to supply its future energy from its own home based sustainable energy resources. There is a need to consider massive projects for global sustainable energy and these will require to be developed in collaboration with Africa, Asia, North and Southern America and the island states of the world. Some of the technology solutions could power up Africa in a short space of time. Delivering sustainable infrastructure and transport solutions for the least developed and developing regions would appear to be one rational way to lessen the burden of the recent past and continuing global economic turmoil.
