An important breakfast briefing session on Gender and Climate Change prior to the COP 17 Climate Change meeting in Durban. It will be held from 08.00 – 11.00 on Tuesday 15 November 2011 at the Achwa Hall, International Conference Centre, Serena Hotel, Kampala. Please find attached, an invitation to the event and a draft programme for the morning.

The briefing will be hosted by the Ministry of Water and Environment and the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, with support from the Royal Danish Embassy, the Icelandic Embassy and the Royal Norwegian Embassy.

Invited participants are the members of the Government of Uganda delegation that will represent Uganda in the COP 17 negotiations, and participating CSOs, NGOs and private sector representatives.
