GBF Named Winners in G-20 SME Competition

Dear Friends,

We are delighted to share with you some great news from the Grassroots Business Fund. As you may have heard, the G-20 heads of state and Ashoka’s Changemakers have launched a competition to find the best models worldwide that are catalyzing finance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The Grassroots Business Fund is proud to announce that we were chosen as one of 14 winners out of over 350 submitted proposals. The winners receive funding and valuable recognition. GBF’s executive director, Harold Rosen, has accepted an invitation to the November 2010 G-20 Summit in South Korea. For this event, he will join the leaders from around the world to discuss SMEs' role in poverty alleviation, including GBF’s innovative solutions to some of the most challenging problems facing the world today.

The “People’s Choice” award will give extra recognition to three of the winners--ones that receive the most votes from people like you, between today and November 8th.
