An Africa Business Community
CTI PFAN is pleased to announce the launch of the Climate Technology Initiative Private Financing Advisory Network (CTI PFAN) Africa Forum for Clean Energy Financing (AFRICEF2) Business Plan Competition. Proposal submission is now open to clean energy projects from the African Region. Please follow the link below for further details.
AFRICEF2 follows on the success of the first AFRICEF held in late 2010 in Johannesburg, which showcased 9 clean energy projects, representing over USD 101 million of total aggregate investment and an annual GHG reduction potential of ca. 600.000 tonnes of CO2 e, to over 130 investors; three of these projects have already gone on to raise USD 7,6 million with the help of CTI PFAN.
Likewise AFRICEF2 seeks innovative clean energy projects that are financially viable, socially responsible and environmentally beneficial. CTI PFAN provides competitively selected projects with free coaching and guidance on the preparation of bankable business plans and professional investor pitches before connecting them with investors at a specially organized Financing Forum to be held in February 2012. The Competition is open to entries from projects in any African Country. Applications must be received by Monday 26th September 2011. Full details, including guidelines for application documents are available at the CTI PFAN website under the events section at http://www.cti-pfan.net/events_detail.php?eventsid=35.
